Life: God’s Virtual Reality

by Mark A. Staton

Your Soul is Part of God

When you die, and the connection between your soul and your mind is broken, your soul regains its awareness of its heavenly surroundings. Your soul doesn't have to "go" anywhere, because it never left. Your soul is part of God. Your soul is composed of spiritual energy. God contains all the souls, plus other spiritual energy. Your soul is within God, your soul is in heaven. Heaven is God's body.

There is a structure to heaven. It is determined by God's thoughts. God had a beginning, and during that early time, there was a great struggle between positive and negative forms of spiritual energy, that became similar to what we call good and evil. God found that the best defense was to keep the strongest units of positive energy at the center, and the weakest around the perimeter. Imagine God as a great ball of spiritual energy, with the greatest concentration of "goodness" in the center, and the least good energy on the outer surface of the ball.

The spiritual energy has frequencies from the lowest, on the outside, to the highest, in the center. Souls perceive this smooth spectrum as a series of layers, or levels. It is like a rainbow. We see the main bands of color. God is like a globular rainbow with red on the outside, and violet on the inside. The curving rainbow does not go all the way to the center. The center is white. The center has its own series of levels, but the differences are not as easily discernable as color.

When you are in heaven, or actually, when your soul is once again aware of being in heaven, your soul finds itself on a level where it is just as good as every other soul on that level. While your soul is aware of being inside of God's spherical body, it perceives towards the center as up and towards the outside as down. The souls above your soul, are more advanced in some way than is your soul. The souls below yours are in some way less advanced. There is nothing keeping your soul at its level, except its own essence, and God's structure. If your soul changes for the worse, your soul sinks to a lower level. If your soul changes for the better, it rises up.

At most levels, your soul has the ability to visit up one level, or down two levels, for brief periods. It is like swimming down in a pool, or climbing up a steep hill. It is tiring, and when your soul is exhausted, it floats back to its true current level. The ability to move about within heaven, is most limited at the bottom, or outer levels, and at the higher levels it becomes unlimited. It is also possible for souls to help each other in various ways, including moving about, or staying a little longer at a different level.

Another ability that grows stronger, from the lowest levels, to the highest, is the ability to share your soul's thoughts with other souls. At the lowest level, souls lack this ability. They are limited to communicating with words, symbols, and gestures. They experience the kind of loneliness people sometimes feel when they realize that the person with whom they are trying to communicate, really does not understand them, and probably never will. In the middle levels, souls can share thoughts completely, one to one. The other soul might not agree with you, but it won't be because you couldn't get your thought across. At the higher levels, souls communicate their thoughts in groups. This progression continues into the center, where God's consciousness experiences every soul's thoughts.

One of the best things about heaven, is that your soul's thoughts can become its reality. Your soul can experience anything it can imagine. If it wants to experience the taste of its favorite food, it simply imagines it, and it becomes real to your soul. Your soul not only can re-live tasting the best food you can remember having tasted, but the best food your soul can imagine. This depends on the soul's ability to control its thoughts. Without control, it could end up trapped in a nightmare of its own devising. Without the external stimulus provided in the physical world, without your alarm clock, your soul may have difficulty "waking up". This often happens to souls at the lowest level. They end up creating their own personal hell. Souls learn to depend on each other for support, until they have mastered the ability to control their thoughts independently.

Many friendships form in heaven among souls. Sometimes they start out at the same level, and then drift apart, as they change and grow at different rates. They usually try to help each other, including help moving up to new levels, but it is not always possible to stay at the same level with each other. Not all souls want to experience a life, or lives, on earth, or elsewhere, and are content to share the thoughts of those who have. But, the soul that takes a chance for advancement by actually experiencing a life, is much more likely to learn and grow because of it. You have to desire it. In a way, we all "ask" to be born. You may have friendships in heaven that have endured for ages. You may revisit them between multiple lives.

It is difficult from an earthly perspective to conceive of God's levels of goodness, and what that really means. Even from a heavenly perspective, some souls never understand. One of the clues comes from the structure itself. Your soul is on the goodness scale, and it has other souls, as examples of souls that are different from it, but are on your soul's level, all around it. Even a limited ability to visit other levels, provides more information. It is often easier to figure out why those below your soul are not at your soul's level, than to figure out why the ones on the level above your soul's are there. During a life experience, your soul encounters souls from many different levels of goodness, all mixed together. Your soul also experiences good and evil coming into conflict. This also provides a wealth of information that helps some souls to advance.

The rainbow description above was not merely a convenient example. The souls at each level actually have auras of different colors. In a place where thoughts can become your soul's reality, appearances can be deceiving, but the ability to see a soul's true color, grows along with the other abilities, as they advance to higher levels. Yes, it is a globular rainbow, but it is so vast that your soul doesn't perceive any curvature while you are in heaven. As far as your soul can tell, the level it is on is flat.

Radiating down from the center, like spokes of a wheel, are neutral zones, where souls from all different levels can meet. These neutral zones are where your soul finds itself, when it first "wakes up" in heaven, after its body dies. It goes through a kind of reconciliation process with its friends, family, and others. At least, with those who are not currently experiencing a life. For those, it will need to wait for them to "return" to their heavenly awareness, or a guardian who has shared with them can act as a stand-in. The neutral zones are maintained by the energy of souls from the inner circle. They also act as guides, mediators, and facilitators. When the reconciliation process is over, all the souls return to their true levels.
