Life: God’s Virtual Reality

The Reconciliation Process

When you die, your soul's consciousness "wakes up" in Heaven. At this point, your soul only remembers the life just lived, and "you" and "your soul's consciousness" refer to the same thing. When you wake up in Heaven, therefore, you are still "you." You won't regain your other memories until after the Reconciliation process.

The "Reconciliation" is a process of sharing thoughts with those you have loved, and those who have loved you. It allows you to see yourself through their eyes. It can be very enlightening, and also very disturbing. The complete process includes people you have not liked, and people who have not liked you. They went through their own Reconciliation when they returned, but you were not available, so this is also partly their Reconciliation.

You may see people you have known in life that have returned before you. Soon you will see a "being of light" that radiates love. This being is one of the higher level souls from the inner circle. They act as guides and facilitators during the Reconciliation process. Usually, your entire focus is on the "guide." You may not notice that your friends and family have moved away from you until they are just outside of the circle of light radiated by the guide. The guide initiates the Reconciliation process by selecting one of the people you have known, and usually loved, to join you in the circle of light.

When they come forward, it is as if you are alone with them. The being of light seems to be gone, and only the circle remains. The first person selected to participate is usually someone particularly close to you. It may be a spouse, parent, child, sibling, teacher, or friend. They are usually the person you want to see, and expect to see, the most. The guide can easily read this from your thoughts. The process begins.

At first you feel the joy of being reunited with them, and then suddenly, you also feel their joy at being reunited with you. It can be disorienting. If necessary, the guide helps you by controlling the level of your interaction. If you are adapting well to the new experience, the guide will let you proceed at your own rate. As memories of times you have shared, surface, you briefly re-live them while seeing them from both your perspective and the other person's perspective. As questions, that you have wanted to ask, form in your mind, you feel the question as it is received by the other person, and the answer that forms in their mind. Many aspects of your relationship are explored, including moments of joy, sorrow, anger, pain, love, fear, and many more. And then, just when it seems like it could go on forever, it is over. It can be very exhausting, and this is just your first encounter.

Fortunately, you no longer have a physical body to tire. The exhaustion is literally all in your mind. After allowing you a moment to recover on your own, the guide, if necessary, gives you a small amount of their spiritual energy. It instantly revives you, and the process continues. Reconciliations for souls on the main levels, are a series of one-to-one encounters. The Reconciliation process is voluntary, and you can refuse to participate at any time. Souls on the lowest level can not even begin the process. They are trapped within themselves. Souls on the lower levels, but above the lowest level, usually start the process, but stop it prematurely. They have difficulty even facing the people they love and who love them. They often find the process too painful. Souls in the middle levels, are prone to stopping the process before encountering anyone they don't like. The higher level souls usually complete the entire process, and long for more. They often achieve greater insights into themselves from people they do not like, and people that do not like them.

Up until now I have referred to your soul's consciousness as "you" and other souls' consciousness as other "people," because until you start remembering your previous time in Heaven, and possibly, previous lives, that is how you perceive them. When your memories return, you usually see yourself, and them, quite differently.
